How the Edit Works
A reaction shot is a simple move: cut away from the action and show the people watching it. After Zlatia presses the panel, the clip cuts to Shami and Kai from the chest up, their faces side by side against the corridor behind the bars; at the end it cuts back wide so the viewer sees Zlatia and the panel, now lit green. Both cuts were requested in the prompt and produced within a single generation.
When writing a reaction shot, break the expression into small beats in order, such as freezing, turning and then nodding, and make each beat visible. Match eyelines with the shots around it: here both turn toward the left of the frame, and in the wide shot that follows Zlatia stands at the panel on the left, so the geography holds.

What to Watch For
For the first 1.25 seconds watch their mouths and eyes: slightly open, held in surprise. Around 1.5 seconds Kai blinks, and the two turn to look toward the left of the frame; near 2.5 seconds Kai dips his head in a small nod with a faint smile. At 3.5 seconds the wide shot shows who they were looking at: Zlatia at the panel on the left, which has turned green.
