While the main action runs, the picture cuts briefly to another person or place outside it and back, adding a clue the audience needs.
Cutaway AI Video Prompt
Cutaway: cut to the crowd in the plaza below, where White pulls his straw hat low and looks up toward the annex building's stairway. At the end of the segment he is still looking at the stairway.
How the Edit Works
This clip has two cuts, both requested by the prompt within the same generation: at 0.25 s from the pair on the stair to White in the plaza crowd, and at about 2.7 s back to the stair. The cutaway uses a low camera with passersby's legs and bodies blocking the foreground and White in the middle, a very different space from the brightly lit stair.
Give a cutaway its own time range and subject, stating where the person is and what they are looking at. Keep one link to the main line; here it is the direction White looks and the red light flashing at the frame edges. Keep it short, and write the main line's state after the cut back so viewers can pick it up again.
When someone is watching your characters from a distance, give that observer a brief cutaway in your storyboard and generate it with fuse's AI film maker.

Kai Miren helps Shami hurry up the stair, and the picture cuts to the crowd in the plaza below: White stands in the middle with his straw hat pulled low, then lifts his head to reveal round black sunglasses and keeps looking ahead. The picture then cuts back to the two on the stair, with Pi at the top.
What to Watch For
Look at the two cuts. At 0.25 s the warm light strips of the stair give way to the cooler plaza at night, with passersby blocking the foreground and White hemmed in among them. Until about 1 s his head is down and the hat brim hides his face; at 1.25 s he looks up, his sunglasses facing forward. Red light flares at the frame edges now and then, in step with the warning light on the stair. At about 2.7 s the picture cuts back to the stair, and the main action continues from where it left off.
