Two characters share one frame as they act, so the audience sees how they split the work and how far apart they stand.

Two shot: Ruk and MeiHua stand apart inside the door, both fully in frame together. Camera Control

Keep both in frame even when one steps back, so the audience can see the work pass from two people to one. Write in the change of light when the door opens, so the action in frame has a clear result.

MeiHua and Ruk, one on each side, put their hands on the thick wooden door and push outward together. As it opens, red lanterns and a wet, gleaming stone street appear outside. MeiHua lowers her hand and steps back beside the door while Ruk keeps pushing, and Biwa enters from the left with the sealed box, heading for the doorway.
What to Watch For
The camera is locked, and both characters stay in the same frame throughout. First watch their hands land on the door together; at around two seconds it swings open and the gap turns from a dark line into a wide block of warm light. Then watch the division of labor change: MeiHua drops her arm and steps back to stand at the edge of the door while Ruk keeps pushing. At the end Biwa comes in from the left foreground and walks toward the open door.
