How the Edit Works
All five seconds are split into two panels by a thin dark divider that never moves. The left panel is a chest-up shot of Biwa leafing through her folder; the right is a chest-up shot of Suseka with her head lowered. The panels share a similar shot size and camera height, and each character sits in the middle of her own panel, so viewers can compare their postures directly. From about four seconds in, Suseka raises her eyes toward the divider.
The split frame was requested in the prompt and produced in the same generation as the rest of the shot; at five seconds the film cuts straight to the next shot's single full frame. When you write your own, state who is on each side, that the divider stays fixed and the panels are equal width, and point both characters' eyelines toward the center so the panels read as a shared look. Not every action lands as written: here Biwa never looks up, so check the result frame by frame.
When two characters notice the same thing from different spots, lay out both panels in your storyboard, generate the split with the AI film maker, and check that the eyelines meet at the divider.

What to Watch For
The panels are equal width and the divider stays put from start to finish. Both sides move at once: the pages in the left panel keep turning while Suseka, eyes lowered at first, looks up toward the center around four seconds in. Biwa's eyes stay hidden under her bangs and her head stays down, so what you see here is Suseka's one-sided look.
