How the Edit Works
The dissolve takes up roughly the first second: the shot of the three walking toward the camera in the cold corridor fades while a shot of them standing at the rooftop exit, backs to the camera, fades in. Between about 0.25 and 1 second both images are visible on top of each other. Once the dissolve finishes, the camera keeps pushing toward the exit and the red-and-white signal tower comes in on the right. The transition was requested in the prompt and produced within a single generation.
A dissolve reads smoothly when the main subjects sit in similar places in both images. Here the three are centered in both shots, so their figures line up during the overlap, and the cool corridor and the deep-blue sky share a similar tone. In the prompt, describe each of the two images, the overlap itself, and where the shot settles once the transition ends.

What to Watch For
Watch the first second: the corridor's bars and light strips are still there while the three figures seen from behind are already fading in, and at about 0.5 seconds both sets of figures are visible. By around 1 second the corridor is gone and only the sky outside the exit remains. The camera then pushes toward the doorway, and the skyline and the tower on the right grow larger. The three stay centered in both images, so the viewer's eye stays in the same place through the change.
