If the audience should feel a destination getting closer, it has to sit on the camera's side of the action or be shown in a separate shot.

What to Watch For
The first frame is still washed in white light, which clears within half a second as the three break into a run. After that they grow only slightly in the frame, which tells you the camera is backing away at nearly their speed. Red alarm lights keep appearing at the top of the frame and receding down the corridor, and the floor reflections stretch along with them. The blue glow at Suseka's chest is easy to pick out against the red corridor.
