Before dawn the city runs out to an orange horizon, and the five on the roof are just specks beside the signal tower. A huge fish-shaped beast swims out from behind the clouds at the upper left, growing larger until it hangs in the sky above and to the left of the tower top.
What to Watch For
At about 0.5 seconds a small dark shape appears in the clouds at the upper left. It grows as it swims, and by the end you can make out spiked plates and long fins. Measure it against the signal tower and the lit doorway on the roof below to feel how big it is. The camera is locked off, so the change in scale comes entirely from the beast approaching.
