An aerial shot establishes geography when every location the story will use later, such as the exit, the device and the tower, fits into one frame, and when the camera's height and direction stay steady so the viewer remembers who is on which side. People are small at this distance, so give them actions with clear silhouettes, such as opening a door, stepping out or gathering, and save finer action for closer shots.
When an opening needs to show the whole setting, place an aerial shot in your storyboard to mark each location, then create the view from above with an AI film maker.

Before dawn, Pi and Serelya stand beside the summoning device on the annex rooftop. The door on the side of the machine room is pushed open; Shami comes out first, then Zlatia, and finally Kai reaches the doorway carrying the box.
What to Watch For
Learn the layout first: the signal tower rises from the machine room, the door is on the machine room's side, the glowing ring on the floor is the summoning device, and Pi's red jacket and Serelya's white ribbons are right next to it. At about 1.25 seconds the door opens and warm light spills onto the roof, then the three appear in the doorway one after another. The figures are tiny, yet from this height the door opening and the direction they walk are easy to read.
