Camera Control

The drawer sits under the edge of the platform in the lower middle of the frame, so opening it needs no camera move to find it.
With a static shot, decide what the frame contains first, then stage the action inside it. Write that the camera is completely fixed, say which side characters enter or leave from, and place the action in a specific part of the frame. Small but important changes, like a drawer sliding out and light spilling from it, should happen where the eye can find them. Between shots that move, one locked-off shot slows the rhythm enough for the audience to study a detail.

What to Watch For
The frame never changes. The lamp, White and the cart stay put, and only Biwa moves. Watch her standing at the right edge, then crouching and reaching under the platform. Around the three-second mark the drawer slides out, and after four seconds its inside lights up warm gold. With the camera still, that light is the only new bright spot in the frame, and the eye goes straight to it.
