Camera Control

Slow motion stretches an action that is still happening, so the prompt should say the motion is continuously slowed and still in progress, and spell out the order of contact step by step: touch first, bite firmly, and only then let go. Include details that show speed, such as mist, a hem or ribbons, so the audience can tell the picture is still moving slowly.

Kai holds the sealed box above his head with one hand as the beast closes in from the right, jaws full of sharp teeth. Only after its jaws clamp the box does Kai open his hand. The beast drifts upward with the box in its mouth while Kai and his companions look up at it.
What to Watch For
Keep your eyes on the box and Kai's hand. At about 1 second the beast's jaws close on the edge of the box while Kai's hand is still under it; at 1.25 seconds he spreads his fingers and slowly lowers his hand. Approach, bite and release land as separate, readable beats. Afterward blue mist drifts past slowly, and the camera rises with the beast as the people sink to the bottom of the frame.
